How do I download and install Finvinity?
Finvinity is available on both iOS and Android:

Do I need to create an account to use Finvinity?
No! Finvinity works completely without any account registration. Simply download the app and start tracking your portfolio immediately. This privacy-first approach means you don't need to provide any personal information like email, name, or phone number.
What devices are compatible with Finvinity?
iOS Requirements:
- iOS 13.0 or later
- iPhone 6s or newer
- All iPad models from 6th generation onwards
- Android 7.0 (API level 24) or higher
- 2GB RAM minimum (4GB recommended)
- 50MB available storage space

How do I add my investments to the portfolio?
Adding investments is simple:
- Tap the "+" button on the main screen
- Search for your asset using the ticker symbol (e.g., AAPL for Apple) or company name
- Select the correct asset from the search results
- Enter your purchase details: quantity, price paid, and date
- Add optional notes if needed
- Save your entry
What types of investments can I track?
Finvinity supports tracking multiple asset classes:
- Stocks: Individual stocks from major exchanges (NYSE, NASDAQ, etc.)
- Cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and hundreds of other digital currencies

Can I edit or delete investments after adding them?
Yes! You have full control over your portfolio entries:
- Edit: Tap on any investment to modify quantity, purchase price, date, or notes
- Delete: Swipe left on an investment or use the delete option in the edit screen
- Add Multiple Entries: You can add the same stock multiple times with different purchase dates and prices

Where is my portfolio data stored?
All your portfolio data is stored locally on your device only. We don't upload, sync, or store your personal investment data on any cloud servers or external databases. This means:
- Complete privacy - only you can access your data
- No internet required to view your portfolio
- Your data stays with you even if our servers go down
- You're responsible for backing up your data
Can I backup or export my portfolio data?
Yes! Finvinity includes data export features:
- Go to Settings β Export Data
- Choose between CSV or JSON format
- Save the file to your device or cloud storage
- Import data back using Settings β Import Data
What happens if I uninstall the app?
β οΈ Important: Uninstalling Finvinity will permanently delete all your portfolio data. Since we store data locally only, there's no way to recover it once the app is removed.
Before uninstalling:
- Export your data using the backup feature
- Save the backup file to cloud storage or email it to yourself
- You can reinstall the app later and import your data back

How often do prices update?
Price updates depend on the asset type and market conditions:
- Stocks: Real-time during market hours, static when markets are closed
- Cryptocurrencies: Updated every few minutes (24/7)
- Currencies: Updated multiple times per hour during trading hours
- Mutual Funds: Usually once per day after market close
Why are some prices delayed?
Some market data may be delayed by 15-20 minutes due to:
- Exchange requirements for real-time data licensing
- Third-party API limitations
- Network connectivity issues
What if I can't find a specific stock or asset?
If you can't find an asset, try:
- Using the exact ticker symbol (e.g., "AAPL" not "Apple")
- Checking different exchanges (some stocks trade on multiple exchanges)
